Should NFL Cheerleaders be Offended by Michaele Salahi?
You're darn right they should be offended!

Well, ok, so I was a Redskin Cheerleader. And I do feel a little offended about all this. Especially since the year Michaele claims to have been on the squad, I was there. (and no, she was not there).

Anyone who has ever tried out for any type of dance squad knows how hard it is. Same thing with Victoria's Secret Models. Heck, if I had been a Victoria's Secret Model (gasp, cough, wheeze) lord knows it would have only been because of a lot of hard work and business savvy along with a dash of genetic luck. It would be an honor.

This Michaele Salahi obviously has the tenacity, and some good looks. She should have gotten herself into a good modeling agency and maybe should could have been one!

BUT, the bigger question here appears to me to be....

If you could lie about 'being' something (and get away with it!!), would you even pick a Victoria's Secret Model or NFL Cheerleader? I'm not sure those are the two things I would come up with.

What would you dream up for yourself????

For myself, I'm thinking something like:
Ambassador to France.
Nobel Peace Prize Winner.
Mensa Member.
Rockette.
Famous Artist.
Harvard Grad.
Miss America. (oh, right, she did claim that one too, huh?)
Inventor of Post-Its. (gotta love that movie)

How Often Do You Clean Out Your Freezer?
Are you like my grandmother who lables everything and nothing has ever seen the dark side of freezer burn inside her freezer. Ever?

Or are you more like me? and when things keep falling out and you can't get the "two-for-one" tubs of Edy's into the mess....you start flinging out old meat?

Here's what I found this week:

image
image

Can you read that?

Yup, it says July 03, 2003.

If that doesn't see 'that' old to you.....get this....

WHEN MY CHEESE REACHED EXPIRATION in 2003:

Space Shuttle Columbia disintegrates over Texas upon reentry killing all seven astronauts onboard.

Over 100 concert goers die in a fire during a performance of the rock band Great White.

Apple Computer's iTunes Music Store launches, selling 1 million songs in its first week.

U.S. lifestyle guru Martha Stewart and her broker are indicted for using privileged investment information and then obstructing a federal investigation. Stewart also resigns as chairperson and chief executive officer of Martha Stewart Living.

The last Volkswagen old-style Beetle rolls off the assembly line at Puebla, Mexico

Soooooo, seems like forever ago now, huh?

How old is the food in your freezer?????

(just thank God I dont' have me one of those fancy deep freezers in my basement...you know, the kind they find relatives and ex-girlfriends inside of.....)

Will You Buy this Issue of Playgirl????
In October, Levi Johnston, Bristol Palin's baby daddy --- announced for sure he would be doing the PLAYGIRL shoot. Yes, naked.

How curious are you? Are you going to buy a copy?

How would you feel if your dad posed naked?

What is next for little Levi? I don't exactly see a political career. But I DO see some bad reality T.V.

COULD HE NOT HAVE HELD OUT FOR 'THE BACHELOR'??? REALLY???

Check out what else folks are saying about Levi -- it is HI sterical...

He just gets grosser and grosser.

Do you tinkle in the shower?
image

Zac Efron doesn't exactly stop by my shower, but I had to share the image (he's old enough, right?)...

We moved recently, and four people are now sharing one shower. The subject of tinkling in there came up recently....I'm a reformed #1-er in the shower, but everyone else in my house thought the whole concept was disgusting.

I know I'm not alone - are you a shower-peer?? Be anonymous, be loud/be proud - I can't be the only one, can I???

How far are you from the nearest McDonalds??
image

One day this guy Stephen wondered how far away from McDonalds you could actually get in the US (lower 48 to be precise). Then he made this map. The whole story is here.

Here's your answer:

Between the tiny Dakotan hamlets of Meadow and Glad Valley lies the McFarthest Spot: 107 miles distant from the nearest McDonald's, as the crow flies, and 145 miles by car!

So, you'd have to go to South Dakota to find the "McFarthest Spot."

Another fun fact? There are over 13,000 McDonald's restaurants in the US, or about 1 for every 23,000 Americans.

As my friend Russ pointed out - because the Golden Arches are so ubiquitous, we simply never had a chance. I very rarely hit McD's (have gone years without eating at one!), but every once in a while, just have to do it. So, if your weakness is Big Mac's, perhaps you come by it honestly! Somehow this new knowledge makes me feel better about being such a sucker for McNuggets.

Will you buy the new Donny & Marie album???
image

You have until January to decide - official release date is "early January."

It's their first album in 30 years! And they still look like a coupla teenagers!

I used to watch their show and try to admire Donny's purple socks. But whatever tv station it was on came in really snowy, and I could barely make out which was Donny & which was Marie, let alone footwear. Despite that, I still didn't miss the creepy "couple" feeling that they gave off. Shudder!!

So, are you in? Any favorite D&M memories to share with the classs?

If You’ve Ever Laughed at an Exotic Dancer…
For all those of us who have ever laughed at strippers, exotic dancers -- from the safety of our couches while chowing down on chips or ice cream...... (just like when we watch The Biggest Loser).....

My friend Jen said it was sorta like a "smutty Circue de Soleil"....and really, there is not that much difference between the two....

But my God those ladies are in SHAPE.

The NEWEST Real Housewives is….
It's Official: HOUSEWIVES OF D.C.

From Bravo TV:

It's official. Flip a table and wave an American flag - The Real Housewives of D.C. is a go, and The Real Housewives of New Jersey is back for a second season! Production for both series is currently underway, and you can expect the Jersey girls and D.C. wives to premiere in 2010.

So, a few deets on The Real Housewives of D.C. We scouted the D.C. area to find the most alluring residents, the real movers and shakers, ladies who rocked power suits, cougars in the cutthroat political arena ... and you're going to love who we found. We can't spill the dirt on the cast just yet, but we CAN tell you that the cast doesn't include the Real First Lady, Michelle Obama. (Keep your fingers crossed for Season 2.)

image

NOW, wanna know who's in it??? Here's what one blogger Carol Joynt says.....

We know the DC cast includes Mary Amons, Lynda Erkilitian, Lisa Spies and Michaela Sahali. Edwina Rogers, who likes to wrap gifts in real sheets of dollar bills, apparently quit or got dropped. Mai Abdo also is no longer in the cast, if she ever was. I expect Bravo is still looking for one or two more. I could nominate some men.

Something to Make Your Home Look Fabulous
A new show on A&E called HOARDERS!!!

It completed its first season. And the bar is set HIGH people.

image

You might want to enter your garage, but watch a couple full episodes online first ---- these people have not only lost marriages and homes, but even custody of their children. It's ROUGH!

I've never parked a car in our garage, and its full. But my garage looks like an organizational dream compared to the rodent poop filled hovels they show.

And in McMansion cul-de-sac neighborhoods! It's awesome trainwreck stuff. Mostly because we all (well, most of us) know we're just a couple 1997 phone books away from becoming these folks.

I mean, which one of us hasn't spent two hours going through an old box and only tossing maybe a sheet of paper or two? right???

I feel this show really shows that the extreme Hoarders (there's another name for a show) are really crossing the line into Squalor. What is the difference between the two?

Now, off to clean out a closet. Baby steps....

Do You Know “America’s Native Spirit” (liquor)?
Happy Bourbon Heritage Month!

Who says our gov't never gets anything done??

National Bourbon Heritage Month is an observance in the United States that calls for celebration of bourbon as America's "Native Spirit". On August 2, 2007, the US Senate declared September 2007 as "National Bourbon Heritage Month." The bill, sponsored by Republican Senator Jim Bunning of Kentucky, passed by unanimous consent. The resolution calls for consumers who enjoy bourbon to do so responsibly and in moderation. The bill reinforces the 1964 Act of Congress that declared bourbon "America's Native Spirit" by celebrating the family heritage, tradition and deep-rooted legacy that the bourbon industry contributes to the United States.
