It’s ok to have Celtics fever!

As the luckiest girl in the world, I got to go to the Celtics game last night - Game 5 of a tied playoff series, which they won! It was a great game! I'm still getting used to the Celtics Dancers and the hoopla that has nothing to do with the game that goes on. I find it all very distracting, and last night was a great game. It felt like the good old days, in a new stadium.

In addition to good games, it's fun to see celebrities back in the Boston Garden. The last famous person that I remember seeing was Jack Nicholson when the Celtics played the Lakers in 1987, that was pretty cool.

Last night, I told Louis CK "Welcome home," and I saw Jonah Hill, Rob Lowe, and Beyonce & Jay Z. It was very cool.

It's been a controversial season - lots of people have jumped on the Celtics fan bandwagon since they started winning. All of a sudden, the games are selling out and people are wearing green clothes around town, and it's cool to be a C's fan. My take is: Welcome to the party, people. Historically, we have the winningest team in the NBA (more titles than any other team), and when they're losing, it's hard to stay strong as a fan. The Patriots and the Red Sox at least do well and get your hopes up during the season (choosing to choke towards the end, or at the very end, of their seasons), but when the Celtics are bad they are stinky all season long.

How do you feel about fair weather fans??

They drive me crazy!  When Steve Spurrier came to Carolina, people were convinced we were going to win a national championship (HAHAHA).  Ticket prices went up, tickets became hard to get, parking became more expensive… and we still don’t play any better!
