Run, Don’t Walk, to Food Inc.
Remember, my favorite book is "Milk the Deadly Poison." (read it around 10 yrs ago). But I like to think of myself as ahead of my time : )......
I haven't seen a movie in the theater since I think Legally Blonde. (the first one).
I had a chance for dinner and a movie this week (kids w/ grandparents).
I picked FOOD INC.

find your local movie times on their site --- Food Inc.
I thought I knew eveything about how bad our food was (you KNOW how much I hate High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS).
I learned at least five new things. And I think I dislike HFCS even more now!!!
I've always been scared of Monsanto. Now I'm terrified.
My heart breaks for these farmers.
And the bravest chicken farmer was a WOMAN! We're not surprised, right? She let the cameras into her chicken house. She lost her Purdue contract because she won't upgrade to the windowless chicken house.
You have to see this documentary. It was only in our local "art house" theater. But I made the one hour trip and thought it well worth it.
(the farmer who pointed out that the folks complaining about the higher cost of grass fed beef were holding a .75 cent coke was HI-larious).
Have you seen it yet? What did you think??????????????
Happy Viewing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh, and yes. I had dinner AFTER the movie. It was all good. (Thai satay chicken - YUM!).
