The Chicks are proud to announce the SECOND ANNUAL 4th of July Flag Cake Smackdown 2007, the annual bake-off with ChickChat Radio style and attitude. This is not your grandmother’s bake-off!

"It's big, it’s bad, and it’s above all the most patriotic thing we can do in America," said co-host Heidi Hanzel. "Flag Cakes aren't just for middle America anymore – it's hip and it's hot!"

"The Flag Cake Smackdown is for the people,” co-host Lara Dyan stated. The contest is open to anyone with a digital camera, Internet access, and mad decorating skills. We can't wait to see what everyone submits!”

In addition, the Chicks would like to challenge all other radio show hosts who call themselves true Americans. "We'd like to see them get their game on," Hanzel added, "because does more flag waving than the political talk radio types?"

"We'd like to see what kind of Flag Cake Rush Limbaugh, Laura Ingraham and Sean Hannity would make. That goes for Bill O'Reilly, Michael Savage, and Dr. Laura too," added Dyan.

Contestants create a Flag Cake for the 4th of July, and enter by emailing a picture of their creation to between today and Sunday July 8 2007. Judgment Day will be broadcast live the week of Monday, July 9 2007 on ChickChat Radio. The judging will be done by an independent expert in the food industry. The winner will get bragging rights for the year – and if you’ve listened to ChickChat Radio, you know how powerful that can be.
